Today I visited the Costco in San Leandro and was welcomed to some special Valentine's Day treats available for purchase. Long Stem Strawberries dipped in chocolate, chocolate mousse cakes, velvet mouse cakes. What was nice to see was a decent selection of flowers and flower arrangements made available by the local contracted grower/florist were also available for purchase.

The last time I tried SF Bay Coffee from Costco was a few months ago.  It was some sort of organic coffee, don't remember the exact type but my wife and I did not like it.  This one was so much better this time around - it must have recently been roasted with expiration dates in October 2020. I think it was just around $10.99 a bag for 2 lbs.

No more eneloops for now it seems.  Energizer has taken over the Costco battery aisle with recycled batteries.  I believe consumer reports or some other review focused organization gave these a top rating, especially since Eneloops had sold out to Sanyo (I believe years ago). $29.99 price for the set, which looks really similar to the old Eneloops set. 6AA and 4 AAA included, the rest are spacers. 2000 mAH AA 800 mAH AAA Also note these are on promo from time to time.  $9 off from time to time. Has anybody tried this?  Comes out to $0.30 an ounce. Medium grind, Arabica Beands, Medium ground for most coffee makers.

Costco has one of the more advanced robotic vending machines I've ever seen stateside.  Here's a demo:

The Ninebot ES electric kickscooters  are very good last mile transportation devices.  I've tried the Ninebot ES4 and that one is a beast - its a popular choice for the scooter rental company Byrd and others I'm sure. But this one is the ES3, which is an ES1 plus Extended Battery.   It still makes it a great deal and you can't lose by buying from Costco. If you live in a hilly area though , skip this and get the Ninebot ES4 .
